Definition Percentage of adults who report that their highest level of completed education is less than secondary school expressed as a proportion of the total population.
Data Available Sex, age group (5 year and life course), province (crude and age-standardized), population centre/rural area, household income adequacy, ethnicity, Indigenous status, immigrant status, and trend (age-standardized).
Estimate Calculation Numerator: Number of people, aged 20+ years who report that their highest level of education is less than high school (secondary school) completion.
Denominator: Total population, aged 20+ years.
Additional Remarks A low percentage for this indicator can be interpreted as a positive result.
